Product introduction
Using aluminium alloy moka pots on induction
The Bialetti Induction Plate 13cm sits between an induction hob and a moka pot, and is suitable for Bialetti aluminium alloy moka pots from 1 to 6 cups. When switching to an induction hob at home, the plate provides the heat-transfer surface needed to continue brewing with your existing Moka Express or classic Brikka.
Place the aluminium alloy moka pot in the centre of the adapter plate. The induction hob heats the metal plate, which then transfers heat to the base of the pot. The plate has a clad stainless steel and aluminium alloy structure and a handle for holding and moving it. Use a medium heat setting and heat it together with a pot already filled with water and ground coffee.
Check the pot base and hob before choosing
13cm is the diameter of the plate, which is intended for Bialetti aluminium alloy moka pots from 1 to 6 cups. For other small cookware, check the dimensions against the cookware and induction hob instructions. The hob's minimum detection diameter must also accommodate the plate.

Use and cleaning
Prepare the moka pot before switching on the hob
- Lay the adapter plate flat on a clean, dry induction hob, centred on the cooking zone.
- Place a moka pot that has been filled with water and ground coffee and properly tightened on the plate, then switch on the hob.
- Use a medium heat setting and watch the coffee flow according to the brewing instructions for your pot. Do not use the highest setting.
- Once the coffee is ready, turn off the hob and remove the moka pot. Allow the adapter plate to cool fully on a heat-resistant surface.
Use the adapter plate together with a prepared moka pot; do not preheat the empty plate. The base remains hot during use and just after switching off. Even when moving it by the handle, avoid touching the metal surface.
Cleaning and storage
Once completely cool, hand-wash and dry the plate, then store it in a dry place. Bialetti states that the plate is dishwasher-safe, but hand-washing is preferred for everyday use.
