Automatic Needle Distribution

Autospin has no separate start button. Place it steadily on a compatible portafilter and it starts automatically on contact with the basket. Lift it to stop early, or let the preset cycle finish. Alternating forward and reverse movement is intended to reduce the tendency of rotation in a single direction to push grounds towards the basket edge.

12 Fine 0.3 mm Needles and Planetary Paths

12 fine needles sweep the coffee bed along fixed planetary paths, reaching approximately 22 mm deep. This structure helps break up clumps formed during grinding and organise the distribution of grounds before tamping. Actual extraction still depends on the beans, grind size, dose, basket, tamping and espresso machine settings.

Four-Point Support and Open Top

The four-point support keeps the tool level on standard 58 mm straight-wall baskets and provides basic protection for the needles when placed on a counter. The open top lets you observe the internal rotation directly. Do not pour coffee grounds through the top, as this may affect the motor.

How to Use

1. Add freshly ground coffee to a compatible 58 mm straight-wall basket.
2. Rest Autospin's four-point support steadily on the basket rim and make sure the tool is level.
3. The tool automatically starts its forward-and-reverse distribution cycle on contact.
4. When the cycle finishes, lift the tool, then level, tamp and extract according to your recipe.

Charging and Indicator Lights

• White: powered on or charging complete.
• Orange: charging.
• Light off: powered off.
• If the tool is unused for a long period, the manufacturer recommends charging the battery once every three months.

Cleaning and Care

After use, remove grounds from the needles and body with an air blower, soft brush or dry cloth. Do not rinse or submerge the body. Make sure the tool has stopped before cleaning or replacing needles. The needles are fine and sharp; avoid impacts and direct contact with the tips during storage and cleaning.

Can it be used with every 58 mm portafilter?

Diameter alone is not enough. This tool requires a 58 mm straight-wall basket and does not support baskets with curved inner walls or three-lug portafilters.

Is tamping still needed after distribution?

Yes. Autospin breaks up clumps and organises the coffee bed. You still need to level and tamp according to your espresso recipe after its cycle.

Can it guarantee the elimination of channeling?

A distribution tool can help reduce clumps and uneven distribution, but cannot guarantee extraction results on its own. Grind size, dose, tamping, basket, brewing pressure and bean condition are equally important.
