Product introduction
The classic octagonal moka pot in two Italian patterns
The Bialetti and Dolce & Gabbana Moka Express collaboration brings the classic octagonal moka pot together with two Italian visual styles: Sicilian Cart features vivid red and Sicilian cart motifs, while Blu Mediterraneo evokes southern Italy in blue and white patterns. We offer both patterns in 3-cup and 6-cup sizes, so you can choose by your everyday serving size and preferred appearance.
The decoration of Sicilian Cart draws on the folk motifs, craftsmanship and colours of Sicilian carts; Blu Mediterraneo depicts Mediterranean scenery in white and deep blue. Both styles use the Moka Express brewing structure, with the pattern offering a choice of appearance. The positioning of the decoration on the upper chamber may vary slightly between individual pots.
Everyday moka coffee on the stovetop
The lower chamber holds water, the funnel basket holds ground coffee, and the upper chamber collects the brewed coffee. As the pot heats, pressure in the lower chamber pushes hot water through the grounds and up the central column into the upper chamber. All you need is clean water, coffee ground for a moka pot and a suitable hob.
The aluminium alloy body has a thermoplastic handle and lid knob, together with a Bialetti easy-clean safety valve. Serve the brewed moka coffee directly, or add hot water or milk to suit the way you like to drink it.

“Cups” is a moka-pot sizing unit and does not refer to the capacity of a standard mug. The brewed coffee volumes in the table are approximate and vary with the amount of water, ground coffee and grind size. Choose the size that matches the total amount you normally want to brew at once.

Use and cleaning
First use and brewing
Before first use, rinse all components with clean water, then brew and discard three batches of coffee before drinking from the pot. Hold the body when unscrewing or tightening the chambers; do not use the handle as a lever.
- Add room-temperature clean water to the lower chamber, keeping the water level below the safety valve, then insert the funnel basket.
- Loosely fill the basket with coffee ground for a moka pot, level the surface without tamping, and remove any grounds from the rim.
- Tighten the upper and lower chambers and heat over low to medium heat. With an open flame, keep the flame within the base of the pot.
- Once the coffee has flowed into the upper chamber and brewing is complete, turn off the heat and remove the pot from the heat source. Stir gently with a teaspoon before serving.
Cleaning and storage
Allow the pot to cool completely, then unscrew the chambers and remove the basket. Hand-wash with warm water, checking the filter and central column for coffee residue. Let all components dry thoroughly before storing.
Do not use detergent or abrasive materials on the body or patterned surface, and do not put the pot in a dishwasher. Hold it by the handle while heating and avoid heating it without water in the lower chamber.
