Product overview
Control each pour with a gooseneck kettle
The slim spout of the HARIO V60 Buono helps you control the amount and speed of water during each stage of a pour-over coffee brew. Its wave-shaped handle is easy to hold, and the flat lid knob lets you set the removed lid upside down.
Choose for your water needs and hob
- 500 mL Hairline Silver|VKBR-70-HSV:The smaller body suits brewing with less water. Suitable for gas hobs; not suitable for IH induction hobs.
- 600 mL Hairline Silver|VKBR-100-HSV:For brewing that needs a little more water. Suitable for both gas and IH induction hobs.
- 800 mL Hairline Silver|VKBR-120-HSV; 800 mL Matte Black|VKBR-120-MB:Choose either model when you need more brewing water. Both support gas and IH induction hobs.
These are the usable capacities. When choosing a kettle, include the water needed for brewing and preheating your equipment. Each option contains one kettle of the corresponding model, with its body and lid.
Control the flow and placement from blooming to later pours
The slim spout directs water to a smaller area, helping you wet the coffee grounds evenly during blooming and follow with circular or fixed-point pours. Adjust the kettle's tilt to control water quantity and speed as you practise the rhythm of each pour. When removing the lid to refill, its flat knob also lets you place it upside down.
Specifications
Models, capacity and dimensions
Shared materials: stainless steel body and lid; phenol resin handle and lid knob. The VKBR-120-MB has a brimful capacity of 1,200 mL. Keep water within its 800 mL usable capacity when heating.
Compatible heat sources
All four models work on gas hobs, electric hotplates, radiant, halogen and sheathed heaters. The 600 mL model and both 800 mL models also support IH induction hobs; the 500 mL model does not. Check the hob’s requirements for the kettle base size and positioning before use.
Use and cleaning
First use and heating on a hob
Before first use, we recommend washing the kettle body and lid with a soft sponge and neutral detergent, then rinsing thoroughly. Use fresh water for boiling, keep within the selected model’s usable capacity, and avoid filling to the rim or heating the kettle empty.
Dry the underside, close the lid and place the kettle securely in the centre of the hob before heating. On a gas hob, keep the flame within the kettle’s base so it does not reach the sides, handle or lid knob. Watch the kettle and flame while heating.
Turn off the heat once the water boils, and let the bubbling settle before pouring. The body, steam and handle can become hot during heating; use an oven glove when needed. Adjust the tilt gradually as you pour to direct the water where you want it.
Cleaning and storage
We recommend letting the kettle cool, then washing it by hand with a soft sponge and neutral detergent and rinsing with clean water. Clean the lid and narrow spout too. Wipe off moisture and dry thoroughly before storing; avoid leaving water, salt or oil residue in the kettle for long periods.
Gently wash the Matte Black model with a soft sponge to avoid scratching the surface; use the same gentle handwashing method for the other models. Do not use chlorine bleach, and avoid prolonged contact with other metal utensils during storage.
